Top speed run

Hi Everyone

I've been kindly given the use of a 3 km runway for the day on Sunday....

Anyone want to have a guess at what top speed I will achieve in that distance?

Car is on T35.48 and consistency makes 350 bhp year after year on dyno.

Charge temps will see to that unless you have a real nice cooler

I would say around 160 mph as i had 160 mph out my small turbo escos couple years ago on a private rd lol well on the speedo anyway

I'll be chuffed with 160 mph, for some reason i have in my mind 140ish

Aren't they just short of 150 as standard ?

Yes, you need to take reading from a sat nav really .......if the winds blowing the wrong way you'll be in trouble though lol

yeah something like that, i cant really work out how long ill be accelerating or breaking for out of the 3km

I had 300kmh on speedo in a 4x4 saph with e50 netics turbo on greys rynning 1,6bar, but that was in tunnel, and didnt start at 0 or needed too stopp...
So160 maybe if only 3km total? On drag IT is averaging around 110mph on 1/4mile, so since still have "much" more road...

In perfect conditions with optimum gearing & no charge air probs to blunt the Power that's about right.
With standard gearing he will be past peak power I guess & with a standard or even an rs500 style cooler he will fight against CA probs. Its more likely to be in the mid 150's.
