  • Tech Question - Bosch 044 check valve?

I'm away to fit a new Bosch 044 to my car, just wondering, have people used the torques outlet check valve?

I was going to purchase 1 but I don't think I've ever seen them fitted on any other cars I've owned?

What it says in the advert :

A check valve is required as after the engine is turned off the built up pressure left between the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator has to escape. The exit of least resistance is through the fuel pump if no check valve is fitted. The build-up of back pressure puts stress on the pumps internals damage the pump

Any info would be great ,
