  • EEC Diagnostics

I know many of you have EEC Ecus,
Do any of you have diagnostic tools that work well with them?

I'm trying to get hold of something to use on EEC Escort and Fiesta Turbos, and just wondered if anyone had any feedback on some old school tools that work.
I used to use an old snap on scanner at msd but they are hard to find now with the correct cable
    Regards James.

Keep your eye out for an early generation "auto diagnostics" hand held, my dad kept theirs and it has the correct leads for many 90's diagnostic ports. There are a few tool selling pages on Facebook, worth popping a wanted advert on a couple.

                Snap on

I've got both old and newer souls pro early one with the complete lead kit as new still has screen film on it. Is the lead the 3 pin triangle and one that's oval with a flat bottom ish??
Can't fault snap on fast loading and has most descriptions. I've got launch x431 pro very good at programming. Bosch kts always a faf. Autel ok but no discriptions of codes

To be sure, ask Tomas about the Fiesta Turbo.

If the Fiesta turbo has DCL or OBD then I imagine it would work.
                        Cheers

Fiesta is EEC like the small turbo Cos, same diagnostic ports as those.

Ive mailed him, i think ill buy it and see how it goes.
                          Regards James.

Same ports, then it should work.

I'm happy with mine, does what it says on the box. Had a couple bugs initially, but they were fixed after emailing Tomas.

I got rid of the OBD type connector on the device and fitted a DB-15 instead. Then used the tail from an elcheapo ABS sensor to connect to the Escos DCL plug.
                            Cheers
