  • Bad news croft 2017

Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control we regret to inform you all that there will be no Durham and Derby regional day at croft in 2017.
Despite our best efforts to secure the venue it has become clear that this is not going to be possible, we will however endeavour to do our utmost to host a regional day in 2017 with a view to returning to croft in 2018.
We would just like to take the opportunity to thank the membership, track entrants, charity drivers, Local Groups, visiting groups and all our sponsors for all of your support over the last fourteen years.

    Best regards,*

    The RSOC Croft team

Just read your post on Facebook, I've not been before as it's a bit far in one day with young kids (although they are getting older now so may visit at some point). It's a well regarded show, hope it's back on the calendar for following years.

Gutted this show isn't on next year, Croft is 20 mins from my house and I've only missed 1 show since it started and been on track nearly every year.
Hope things get sorted for 2018

The bttc are changing their dates for next year and pretty much took our date.
There are only so many full noise days allowed and we ask for two lol. The bttc also pay more for the circuit hire than we do and croft take gate money as well, where as we keep the gate money to fund the show. The same thing happens with the Moto gp and other events, apparently there's 100,000 people attend the Moto gp

We were offered dates in early March and late September which were no good for what we do.

So basically without going into numbers it's money.

Can you not just ask for one?
Shame to see this not on next year as its one of the best shows of the year.

Ask for one what simbo ???

Just one day you mean ?? There's only so many no noise limit days allowed per month and from I understand it's not feasible and even the odd 5 weekend months were looked at for suitable dates but it hasn't worked out

Aye, just ask for a one day show instead of a weekender.

Couldn't you do what we do with knockhill and share a noisy day with a current hot hatch day or something ?

It was out of the question to tag onto another show as well, it was briefly mentioned I think but knocked back.
