anyone know how to recon a duff battery ?

i can remember reading a thread once where someone had re juvenated a duff battery but i cant remember where i read it has anyone come across such a thing thanks mark

I followed a how to on you tube
It shows you how to replace the acid, and then recharge the battery
But mine didn't work

Then I read that if you recharge using a pulse charger that is more effective,

I use an optimate while car is in storage. I also heard that they can bring a battery back to life also.

A mate has a Snap On charger that has a function to refresh and restore a battery, worth trying to find someone with a snap on machine

My dad has one of those ^^^ Only works if the battery hasn't gone too far. It has to hold atleast a certain amount of charge initially, if its dead flat and scrap it won't work

Problem is the cells start to disolve eventually, and if emty IT, it might shortcut the cells if shit get Stuck beetween cells... Hard to explain...

thanks guys just changed the acid and its currently on a trickle charge of 2 amps and its now taking a charge it wouldnt even take a charge before i will let you know
