    ...GETTING THERE PICS ONCE WASHED.

    ...faults are now being sorted...abs i found a sensor wire in two...wasnt properly supported so the wheel caught it slow puncture fixed...rear no/plate lights fixed..number plates changed...main beam fixed...boost gauge fixed...still a couple of things to do..ok spec for those interested:-

                Fuel and ignition: Webber-Marrelli fuel injection with "Super" Level 8 ECU, Pectel eight injector control board, Pectel monitor, water injection, Ford Motorsport leads, Grp A Webber Marrelli "high energy" ignition coil, AGPR 601 plugs, RS500 inlet plenum, eight 803 (dark green) injectors and 3 bar MAP sensor. Specially programmed Ahmed Bayjoo ISS (Intercooler Spray System) chip live mapped on engine dyno using Ford Motorsport air injectors for the boost control.

                Cooling: Bailey Motorsport header tank, 4x4 thermostat, housing and water pump, PACE double thickness alloy radiator and SPEC-R swirl pot. Laminova oil cooler (water cooled). Big wing (5½ litre) baffled sump and SPEC-R crankcase breather kit with braided hosing.
                Induction: K&N panel filter inside a modified air box with Bailey RS500 lid and turbo pipe, T04E "57" trim turbo with Turbonetics roller bearing core, Spec-R damper bracket and genuine RS500 horse-shoe damper, -31 actuator, genuine RS 500 air to air intercooler and Bailey piston type recirculating dump valve.
                Installation: Front, longitudinal.
                Exhaust: Mongoose 3" system with 4" tail pipe.

                At Bruntingthorpe where it achieved its first 180+mph run (faster than an R1 top speed over the same distance!).


                At AVA making 395bhp at the wheels (which until recently was the most powerful car they had ever had on their rollers), with horrendous charge temps and water injection running flat out:

                TRANSMISSION:
                Type: Front-engine, rear-wheel-drive.
                Gearbox: Borg Warner T5 using Quaife "big tooth gear" internals, five-speed manual with Pro 5.0 quick shift imported from USA.
                Internal Ratios: 1st 2.95:1; 2nd 1.94:1; 3rd 1.34:1; 4th 1:1; 5th 0.80:1; Reverse 2.75:1; Final drive 3.64:1 giving 23.55 mph/1000rpm in top gear with 205/50 x 15s or 24.27 mph with 215/40 x 17s; or with Final drive of 3.36:1 giving 26.30 mph using 235/40 x 17s.

                Front: Independent by LEDA adjustable 2½" coilovers with 400lb springs. Macpherson struts, three-door Cosworth hubs and track control arms, set to 2° negative camber, 0" 20' toe in. Standard 28mm anti-roll bar with polyurethane bushes and GGR Grp A three piece strut brace.
                Rear: Independent, by semi-trailing arms, LEDA adjustable 2¼" coilovers with 200lb springs and Escort Cosworth 22mm anti-roll bar. Ream beam replaced with an Ahmed Bayjoo modified (Grp A) 6° item, rose jointed and fully adjustable set to 1.5° negative camber and 0' 0" toe. Polyurethane rear axle bushes and Sparco rose jointed rear strut brace.

                Computer controlled boost settings connected to the gearbox using micro-switches: Any boost settting from 1 bar to 2.5 bar can be selected for any gear.
                Three position simmer control - Off; 1 minute or 2 minutes + fans.
                Morrette twin headlights.
                4 x 4 remote boot release and lock.
                Fully mapped water injection using the windscreen washer bottle for supply - comes on if charge temperature exceeds 42°C and boost pressure is 7psi or above. Automatically switches off if charge temperature drops below 38°C or boost pressure drops below 7psi.

                6th in class Performance Ford shoot-out 26 May 1997 - with 319 bhp
                3rd in class UFC '97 - with 343 bhp (After only four runs due to poor weather).
                Featured in June 1998 issue of Fast Ford (385bhp)
                4th in class Performance Ford shoot-out 30 August 1998 (Only beaten by a 520bhp RS500, Westfield Cosworth and pukka Rover V8 engined dragster).
                2nd in class USC '99 - with broken gearlever, achieved on the first run (385bhp).
                Winner of the Revs Top Speed shoot-out August 1999 (385bhp)
                4th Overall Revs Top Speed shoot-out August 2000 (419bhp)
                Briefly the fastest Sapphire in country 180.9mph (515bhp - stupidly on the 3.36 gearing, which meant it never reached peak power).

                              Don't remember saying my 1098s was standard!

                              181.4BHP and I don't know the top speed because it says --- (which means 300kmh and just over186 though! - if the dodgy Italian speedo works properly! could be 45mph!)
