Read the whole thing, Dave said there was no point talking to people on here about it as they won't listen!
Sorry Dan I didn't mean they wouldn't listen, I meant they wouldn't be overly bothered as although some can probably see your point they still have a big enthusiasm for the scene. After all thats why we come on here isn't it, because we are enthusiastic about the Escos.
You obviously love your M3 and thats cool & the gang, I loved my ST & it was by far a much better more refined car than the Escort BUT it wasn't an Escos, it was just a Focus. One of a dozen or so Focus' that I see every week. While you're out pimpin it up in your M3 how many other M3's do you see on average? A lot more than you see Escos' when you're out and about in that I'll bet.
That for me IS part of the scene, being a member of a not necessarily exclusive club (as Franco's a member ) but a club where you're unlikely to run into a fellow member down the local curry house on a Friday night. Which makes it all the more special when do you see another Escos on the road (apart from show weekends)
You answered your own question when you said 'you get out what you put in' you're dead right. I come on here for some light relief, I don't feel the need to post on every thread sometimes I don't post at all for a day or so therefore I don't get bored when there's no new threads to post on.
Sorry for the waffle

Adam, I can totally see where you are coming from..... There does seem to be a few arguments and bickering threads recently, and IMHO it is up to the mods to get rid of them to a suitable room asap. I think this site has a great hardcore base of ford enthusiasts, please please don't let it get like PF where every other thread is an arguement, total bollocks or you get told you are a fool everytime you mention you own a ford, or would rarther own/drive one than any german barge ..We all know that most cars are "better", but that is not the point.
Otherwise it is a pretty good site really , just needs a bit more traffic which will come with time.
Will,
Agree with your "owning a ford" point there, well put.
Franco,
Doesn't make me feel inferior, just bores me a little somtimes. I'd much rather get out a batter a dirty car any day, than sit there and clean the fucker.
i dunno, if your not a bosch fan just skip his posts,i see his posts about that flipping old sierra as banter and the kaliber as interesting,i have seen some proper nasty horrible shit on pf before that makes me not bother for a while with it and i havn't seen stuff like that on here.
theres hardly any arse kissing on here which is nice but as a hairy escort cosworth gay boy once told me "its only the internet"

But thats the great thing about this place - great mix of peeps - all Ford boys (and / or girls ) at heart - means you can get advice on ALL aspects of owning an escos, pretty much guaranteed within a couple of hours
If tracks days are your thing - great, you have Mike and co to help.
Bufty stuff you have more than enough peeps to help...
And for general escos info.... - everyone has a little to give IMO!

Bullet,
YES YOU, 100 TIMES YOU.
sorry.im not a concours boy though am i.
tbh ive been talking to trace about this while walking the kids.
in all honesty dan,and as monster has said, you kind of answered your own question yourself. you do get out what you put in bud.
i can honestly say that this site has helped me make friends just as easy as pf did only there is less crap here.
the general feeling of friendship and help on here is superb.ive had had left right and centre via advise etc with all my issue's(mike mainly, thanks) but also form the others, ive had help via dave(monster)via knocking me up some bits to help me get my car up on my mate s2 poster without damaging skirts(thanks dave )
technically we all had help from paul r,organising tickets etc for shows, and now that falls to ben(who did the rr at reyland)and a great job that was.
but also i like to think ive been a help of sorts.ok so im not a concours boy or a pro detailer but i think ive helped a few of you guys(still working on daves chioce of gear)
ive helped out martin with the auralis one.
and i do not expect anything back.its done to put my little bit in as i cannot do too much else.
what you have to think is.we all come on to enjoy the cars, chat and laughs together. and you get closer to people the more time spent with them. its still early in the sites growth and once a few things like the m-sport trip, karting, maybe even an escos track day or trip out get sorted then people will be closer and it will feel like you are getting more out of the site so once theses get going and your out among us and enjoying it,surely that will put things in perspective?
ive had more reason than most to throw the towel in on the escos and jog on but i then get another burst of love from it when it sorted or driven.i love it again even though she's not sorted yet(she is booked with martoon for this saturday)
