Did Escorts have date stamps on the wings?

Just wondering if they did like the sierras did. My car has had paint on the front so I cant see any on mine.

Ok, thats answered my question, im pritty sure mines all original, the drip seal looks original and all the panel gaps look spot on. I saw three damage repaired ones and have to say they were all terrible repairs. Must be hard to fix properly once damaged.

I'm sure i remember reading that Mike R found a date stamp on his while doing his resto, but that was in one of the footwells iirc

ive found date stamps on both my last big turbo escorts on the inside of the quarter panel on boot aperature.have to check my current escos as i think i remember seeing them on my front wings and front upper panel

I have both Genuine and Original Front wings, with no Date/Ford Stamp.

But am i right in saying the Kit wasnt designed by Ford and by the German VW designers Karmann.
Could this be anything to do with why there not stamped.

mine is all original and has no date stamp's on the wing's either.

It does have a stamp in the middle of the slam panel though which could well be a date stamp, but I cannot read it as it's painted over.

where are one's on the rear quater panel's

I found a date stamp whilst doing my resto, it was in the transmission tunnel underneath the car where ford didnt put any of the protection stuff. Was nice to find and was true to log book thank god
