400 / 500 bhp is great they do make for a fast cossy but unless you have all the other bits then its a waste off time as you wont be able to use it all when you want and if i hadnt gone so far with mine i would have stopped at a stage 3 on a nice T 34/55 as this makes a great road car and doesnt need all the other bits and saves you £1000 `s

dunc,its had the money spent with harv in the past. full 450 engine,monster 4 pots from hi spec,quaife box(i just had this rebuilt),grp n diffs, external fuel pump and swirl pot,gen 500 cooler,etc etc
it did do 179mph at brunters before the owner had it put on 3.9 gearing

the formula goes: (Original planned budget x 2) + £3000 of unplanned expenses + £ bribes/meals/weekends away to keep the mrs from killing you - £ from selling your old bits for less than you thought you would get = 500Bhp

In all seriousness, the MINIMUM transmission I would be running with 500Bhp is a Bara box, thickwall front diff and a 7.5" 2wd rear, and a twin plate centre push hydrualic conversion.

It sounds like you have the majority of the bases covered ancillery wise, personally I would go for a spec like AJC's or Paul Ripleys on a GT30

I've thrown shite loads of cash in to mine at a crap time to do it but I know whats happened to it every step of the way!


And I know where the next X grands worth is going!

i admit i am a bit worried by the quaife but i know it was given serious grief before i owned it on track and the strip.and i know mr savage says he never launches his due to box worry too. i do already have the 6 paddle and hydralic conversion too

sounds but ive always had a reputation round town for having the proper powered cars and using them theres a few so called 500+ supra's,skylines that are shoutting the big thing but dont seem too quick to me and want to prove it. i know thats completely but they are all youngun's who havent imo had to prove it yet as they are surrounded by saxo boys
