I wanted to control the money that the company earned, very crude but you will see more money out of ltd co but you do have the extra hassle of managing accounts etc... unless you have a good accountant that will do it for you for a good fee, and with using an accountant he/she will advise you of the best way to go about your business and what things are expenses and how much pay, dividends you should take etc....
are things looking up in the contract market for you then?
well they might be, still not heard back yet so not looking good, which is a shame. but they did start the interview with, we had a woman doing this job before and the schools that she looked after wanted another woman lol bt they did say the three of us that was interviewed was all really good. Who knows. If I get it i will have to look into it alot as its the first contracting I have ever done.
fingers crossed for you Mark, get on that phone and chase the agent as they are notoriously bad for not getting back to you
Don't worry about contracting as I have found it to be no real different to being permie other than some permie people hate you, but that's there problem and as I have always said you made a choice to go permanent and I made choice to go contracting.
If your serious about going contracting then I would get a business bank account and the company setup now otherwise you won't be able to start work until that's been done and once you tell the agent/client that, you have probably missed the job as with contrating they like you start now
as said if I can be of help and you wanted to run the first one through my company I will have a chat with my accountant to find out what's what, and before anyone says I would not fleece you and all info would stay between us
adam, how does the 12 odd hr days 6 days a week work out
your gonna be fooked on your day off or do you sit in the back room counting the loot with your feet up whilst the "help" does all the graft
dude hard aint it i've done anywhere from 12- 15 hr days 5-6 days a week for yrs! remeber the shop dont prep itself i'll be there for 9am preping! normally get out about 11pm! few ways of doing this really if you prep continous then your constantly on the ball and ready not like some shops who always running round cause hey close all the time and leave the shop not prep'd or cleaned etc etc, my way is to get things done then if theres no customers and things are done CHILL... theres ways to do things and ways not too like every job. Its just i do things the right way... Anyway why you think i'm buying my own really think i wanna work all these hours for the rest of my life?
I'm gonna get a manager in the future and chill and probably expand so i can eventually do F'all
