  • Sequential straight cut mt75 info for you guys.

Sequential straight cut mt75 anyone???? dont know the firm but acording to their site they have just added their conversion to the mt75 cosworth gearbox making what I believe to be the 1st std mt75 cased sequential box. Looks like you geta straight cut gearset (full set including all shafts and input shaft (input shaft optional extra from bara)), shifter lever setup, gear indicator etc... for 6200 Euros (+19% VAT...probably get out of that by getting a self employed mate to buy it for you trade??? I dunno if possible)which is just over 5k +vat.....not too shabby...still a fair wedge though.

As far as i'm aware bara said that the sequential mt75 couldn't be done due to the barrel sizes and the casing design...well I can't speak for the quality or engineering of this conversion but it must be possible as they have done it.

    http://www.sqsracing.com/produkt/324...ierra-cosworth

Worth a read if your thinking of upping your box in the near future.

Might be an idea to ask them about the gearset too...if they can make it work with a manual shift it could be a cheaper/stronger alternative to other makes of gear sets available.

I only remember about the sequential bit as Marco told me bara ditched the sequential idea due to design contraints of the std casing.....As far as I know its the only mt75 cased sequential available....all other require modification to fit with props, hangers, bellhousings, tunnel mods etc....

            Hmmmmm nice one Danny boy!

Neil, Kelv's isn't sequential, Guido's shifter is sequential style which means the 'box remains in a H Pattern but everything feels very much more responsive and a shorter throw

Dan, can you find out what power these are rated to please? If it's decent I.e. comfrtably 600hp/600lf/ft+ then I'm in for sure, I'd sell the Bara box, put in a couple of K and we're done!

TBH mate your gona have to do the legwork between yourselves....I'm firmly in the RWD camp but came across this looking for a rwd sequential on google....thought it rude not to post........got me intrigued as I remembered Marco talking about it not being possible a while back.

I honestly have zero idea on the design, power rating etc.... just thought I'd do my bit and put up a link for you guys, see if its worth investigating....yourmoney tho so do your research on the setup first.

Dan there's a link on there to help you work out your ratios etc... give it a good read through it'll give you an understanding

                      http://www.sqsracing.com/files/fs_fi...counter_54.xls

Just put your rev limit, final drive ratio (diff ratio) and tyre perimiter ( http://wheels.corinthian.se/ half way down page for calc) in the red boxes and pick which gear set you'd choose out of the two available...it works out your speeds for each gear with different ratios etc....

No problem, 1st thing is to establish a rating....then ask them if they fancy doing a democar (yours) to entice the uk escos/saph people to buy their kit you might get it a bit cheaper then if you promise them things like a review of their service, fitting etc....
