Well i went to the U2 concert last night and all i can say is WHAT A NIGHT it started off with the hours which are a local band (to sheffield) and im still to make my mind up on them but the following act was elbow and i have tried to get decent tickets for them all day but no joy U2 were BRILLIANT and all i can say is what a night go if you can

First saw them in '83 at a cost of £3.50 and after a few others inbetween i last saw them on the Vertigo tour at a cost of £100 and decided at that point that that would be the last time as could no longer justify paying more per hour than i earn for entertainment
I have heard that the new stage setup is spectacular but i think i prefered the days of small hot and sweaty theatre gigs
I do have a soft spot for 'The Hours' though, their first album is absolutely the nutsand the second one is growing on me

Played Northampton College ( uni now) back in the day before release of Boy... think that was around 3.00 on the door....
