  • Wire locking Yes or no

    Have people had certain parts of their engine wire locked if so which components have you had done as i was thinkimg exhaust studs and nuts would be a contender for me and poss some of the fuel system what are peoples thoughts on this ???

    Nope, only used it on the heatwrap and Martin used on some vacuum pipes

      do you mean proper locking where the parts are drilled and then locked?

          i use 2 nuts on the exhaust/turbo studs as its easier lol,wouldnt hurt i suppose on some parts

            I was thinking of wiring the studs as well Bit ott but as im having a 2wd manifold again i've had these come out before

              Not sure really. Ive done wire locking before on the diff bolts (wired them altogether) on my mates mk2 Escort but never wire locked a nut to a bolt. I know its only a small hole for the wire to go through but with the exhaust studs only being quite small anyway and the heat / vibration etc around them, would this not weaken the joint
