  • My Esc Cos With New Engine...

I know some of you know my car, so thought I would post up the most recent engine bay pics. My brother (JB Fletch) has worked hard over the past week to fit literally everything to my car while Ive been elsewhere or ill and his very proud of the work his done I can't thank him enough

The engine is from Matt Black's white 3dr Cos running a MAD 491bhp engine Im running a DPE straight cut box, standard 2wd rear diff and a rebuilt front diff with strenghtening plate.

Here's how she looked when I first brought her:

How she looked when I spent £1000 on chrome

How she looks with the new engine and now Ive spent money on powder coating and sold most the chrome

Thought I would post on here instead of PassionFord as everyone here obviously appreciates Escort Cosworth's

I would like a mag feature, but not sure she's worthy and not sure which mag to go with??

How she looks on the outside

(Rear window sticker is being removed )

Allways liked the look of your car from the Sig pic, looks really really nice and loads better without the chrome.

Dave, we had her running for 30 seconds as we're waiting on a new ally rad to arrive and the last few bits from powder coating (Thermostat housing being one bit, so no water ) Gotta order a gear stick from Paul @ North Yorks when his back from Holiday next week and then she will be ready for MOT and 4 wheel alignment (New adjustable TCA's need setting up). Say about 2-3 weeks (Came off road Feb 2006 )

            Cheers Dunc

FordRallyCar, she's got your gearbox cradle bushes fitted mate Thanks

Cheers Nash I loved the chrome, but was a mission to keep clean (So I never bothered ) and as I kept breaking things taking the bits off every week became annoying

Thanks for the comments. Im not used to people complimenting my cars and always feel I need to better it or am not happy with something (Im never happy ), but I love the engine bay now Talking with my mate to get the outside tidied up and want some buckets for the front seats

Kelv, it was JB I kept coming home to find more and more bit added. I spent most my time driving to Halfords, Ford's and local motor factors for more and more bits

Matt dropped the engine off Saturday. JB rung me saying his fitting the engine on Tuesday (After stripping bits off my old engine and converting new one to 4x4). We fitted the front diff and box on Thursday (Waiting on parts from Ford's, etc). He rung me on Friday saying "Listen to this" and fired it up

His had minor help from a few mates, but fitted all the autronics, etc His worked his arse off tidying everything up, cleaning bits, finding clean bolts to use, etc

fair play to the overly tall one then

i guess he should know his way around a cossie engine bay blindfolded by now

The amount his had to repair I wouldn't be surprised (Normally his )

Im trying to convince him to strip his bay down and get a load of stuff coated. He said he don't give a shit about his

Our reg numbers are are kinda close:

Actually on reg "L8 ECU" at the moment, but my car will go back to the L178 PVX plate one day.

L8, I knew someone had L178 as I think you mentioned it before I'm tempted with a private plate, but F13TCH or F18TCH have sold
