Not a keen fan of the wax oil either and has been said probably lets the car down bug time, but still a little bit of elbow grease and you would have a beauty.
seems silly to only be wanting to sell it to one person, surely if the relationship between the 2 friends has gone as sour as he says, you would want to get shot quickly so they can break all ties
Also I have to say Graham, loving the pics or your Polaris one in this months fast ford, it is a real gem you have there
There is something funny about all of this if you ask me, it's gone from £18k to £22k in a few minutes and it is still well under priced if it is what he says it is
Have i got this right - its a split mint 4k mile !!!!!!, 1 owner car that, for whatever reason, is now up for sale for £22k but was initially up for £18k on a first refusal basis ??? That's some discount eh !
As a few have said, something doesnt quite sound right IMO
Daft thing is, if i was after a car like that, espcially in what is arguably one of the best colours !, id happily pay £22k for it (especially as there are Escos's knocking around for more than this) but after reading the RS thread and our one, id be put off somehow
Mind you, looking at it differently, if it popped up for sale for £22k to anyone and this nor the RS thread had apeared, you'd think that it'd just sell like the proverbial hot cake.
Dunno, wierd one
Anyway, who's Bonkers and how do we get to have a look at his garage and all have a drool !!!
I don't mean the car is ruined as in its shit etc.. far from it.. its extremely well protected and should last for ages but for me its ruined as a untouched example, its not factory finished unlike Grahams and seems there was little point in doing so if it was intended to be put in a 'museum' and always have low miles and be standard. If you wanted to take off the wax oil all the original marking and diffs stickers etc would all come off with it, in my view theres no point having low miles unless you have originality and it seems a shame the car hasn't been used properly with the over the top protection it has
However if you want a original car to use it would be perfect..
Question for Concours boys.. with that coating.. does that make it 'modified' ? or working class? Or could you still use it for standard?
I'm guessing by the dust on it it not got a cover? seems strange to invest in so much wax oil but not a cover or ideally a bubble? Wonder if the interior smells new or musky? It not on stands so are the tyres ok? Has the engine been turned regularly, oil seals ok? Could have a nightmare on your hand buying this! Although its says its been serviced and MOT yearly.
I just feel it looks more like a barn find then a cherished car.. I hate how bitchy I'm coming across I don't mean to, I love these finds and rumors that float around them and love they way people would chuck X-amount of money at a couple of pics of the floor of a car I want to see more!
Im going to waxoil mine and fill every nook and cranny underneath imo makes the car smell like its just come from the factory inside every one comented on my frst after i built it on how fresh/new it smelt
