Cracking wheels

Did anyone see the Watchdog programme on Thursday? It was about alloy wheel failure/cracking on BMW alloys.Have you guys had many probs with large rims on Cossies,I have never had a wheel crack on mine,think i'd be poop'n it if I had an M3 or the like below is the link

I know people have had problems with magnesium wheels or bashed in wheels with cracks.

God that Ann Robinson is a right pig of a woman.

She was just hell bent on winding that chap from the SMMT up from the off, and in all fairness to the guy he neither work's for BMW or was he defending them, he was purely trying to explain the complaint's procedure

Shame they didn't make them out of diamonds or titanium! (They would still be cheaper than trying to get a good set of magnesium ones now! )

I have welded up three of my mates comp mo's because of cracks..

don't think its really bmw's prob as its our shite roads and speed bumps .

i have a car here that has come from london and in 6 months it had 2 sets of front road springs,thats the pot holes and speed bumps,you don't get that on german standard billiard table smooth roads.
my cozzie is shite on bumpy roads but show it a smooth tarmac road and its a joy to behold

I'm with you on the wheelsthink I might just leave mine standard I kinda like em anyway(thats my excuse for not being able to afford some Rondell's) The roads round here in Kent are evil anyway! a friend buckled a saph wheel years ago and was able to make the council pay out for four new ones! doubt that'd happen nowadays tho
