i know some t34 blowing more than 32 psi and holding that amount of pressure....btw they are modified...different comp wheel and shaft is balanced(ported shrouds) with cut back blades and journal bearings made from carbon,360 deg bearing....
from what i saw they are still running but how much is it actually going to last that is question...i have similar set up on t34 .....
on msd page i saw set up for black injectors on t34...it is supose to run 36 psi holding 32 and engine rev is up to 7600....scary....does anybody here have this set up and if so what is the power limit...
also what turbo is the best for this amount of pressure/32 psi/....on greys or black injectors considering keeping standard cams.......

I would guess you are changing gear at 6500 rpm then . Rev it to 7000 and the turbo tails off to 26psi a smidge under 1.8 bar . However, this is severly pushing the turbo to it's limit, so as you say it will expire eventually.

Back in the day before I knew any better and when I was running a peak of 2.4 bar, unsurprisingly I was getting through a turbo every three months .

This is the graph for the power when the turbo was constantly lunching itself:

Scarily it made a few more psi in the car, but seemed to love it .

what sort of time was it from 3500 to the limiter?? I remember when i got mine and it was running over 35psi it would get to just under 4krpm on full throttle then BANG its slammed round to the limiter in what felt like just over 1.5 secs and im like "WTF wheres 3rd gear" trying to realllllllly gently come off the limiter so i dont totally mince the box that cant have been normal

msd done all my work and before they set my car up on the phone they said it wud run 36 psi and hold 32 psi but wen it was al set up and mapped by them it runs slightly under as they said didnt want me blowing turbo or box on way home as was fair journey for me. size of intercooler cud play a part on gain or loss of few psi. . .
wen it goes will replace with t4 or gt30 and no doubt end up on the look out for a new gearbox shortly after. . . . but thats

No idea. It was good enough for 170+mph though (3.36 gearing) and mid to high 12s quarters (if you got the launch right, which was far more tricky than the smaller turbine housing where it made 385bhp).

I can tell you Mike, the guy who made the Turbo and ECU program is a Cosworth-Guru overhere. He had worked for Ford Motorsport, during the time they rallyed The Sierra and Escort Cosworth (he also prepared the Cosworths from Patrick Snijders).

He was also involved in the development from the Garret Turbo's they used, and the ECU programs they had.

My old saff 4x4 had 345,5 Bhp @ 5200 Rpm and 556,5 Nm @ 3840 Rpm (and NOT running lean at top end!!!)

                    The spec was:

                    - T03 Turbo (made by Gerry Knubben) 1.8 Bar (continiously) peak at 2,0 Bar
                    - L8 Ecu with program from Gerry Knubben
                    - K&N Group A filter
                    - Greens
                    - 3bar Map
                    - original intercooler
                    - original ignition (only Gr.A coil and Motorsport cables)
                    - Mongoose exhaust
                    - standard cams
                    - standard engine (only WRC gasket)

Car was driven hard, never missed a beat. Turbo still is one piece (after 60.000kms) without using oil or any play on the shaft. Engine already had done 200.000kms.

Don't ask me how he does it, but he can.

I know he uprated the turbo's with other shaft's and comp.wheels, fully balanced etc. He makes his own stuff for the turbo's. He has so much experince, I can't tell you.

If you want to contact him, I can give you his phone number Just PM or email me.

                              Phil,
No, it was a T34, but you have to remember that this is with a properly ported head and a pair of EXTREMELY high lift cams (11mm). These were so aggressive, that the standard lifters were mullered every 8000miles .

You also need to go to spec savers, as that made 418.8 bhp , but as I said, the turbo was so far outside it's designed speed range, that they went pop every 3 months. In the end Harvey stopped running the turbos so hard, and the power figures just tipped over the 400bhp mark. Obviously it is no good having high figures if the turbos don't last. However, you have to remember that this is all back in the mid to late 90s, when no-one knew how hard these turbos could be pushed until they were tested to the extreme.
