  • Recaro bucket seat peeps.....

Just saving up for my recaros atm, but im unsure of which to go for ? The pole position or the spg , any experence that you chaps can offer would be most welcome .

Pole pos, seems to be a comfortable seat which i need as my car will be driven to the ring at some point i hope, also to shows a few hrs away ect. But im not keen at all on the look if im honest.

The spg I have no idea on comfort, but i really do like the look of.

    Help please anyone.

Mine arn't Recaro's, are you restricted purely to Recaro then?

Mine are OMP Pista in Carbon/Kevlar.
Aprox 3.8 kilo, fully FIA approved and comfy as hell (well, for me they are!)

I had a motordrive bucket in my old XR2, and loved it - will be seriously considering them again!

Pole position is what I have, and the comfort is perfect. No bother doing big distances (apart from ringing ears from the noise of high speed cruising ).

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

JKelv, just really like the recaro's over the rest .

Ryan, dare i ask what they cost you to start with .

Mike, I know you said you were very happy with the pole pos, but I want to know what the spg is like as i prefer the look of them tbh.

i like recaro and honestly have owned tons of cars with recaros,i love the look of recaro kevlar chairs but i do agree with Rolly that Motordrive chairs are very good,we had some in a mk2 escort that came out of a Mike Taylor Developments Sierra 3dr cos and them seats were 800 sovs worth years ago but they were very light and strong, Motordrive can also put your name in the headrests which is a nice touch imo.

the escos has motordrive seats in and are bloody fantastic, they will make them to size for you aswell and you can have extra padding where you want it iirc, theyre also nice on the eye and easy on the pocket, cheaper than recaros im sure !
