Any skyHD / home cinema experts on here....

I've got sky plus going through a Sony 5.1 surround sound amp. The problem is every time the adverts come on during a programme the volume jumps up and it's getting really annoying. it goes back to normal when the programme comes back

is this sky or something to do with the signal change to the amp?
is there any way to sort it so the volume stays constant?

Mine does the same, I think it's because the actual programme is HD with all the benefits that come with that, one being improved sound (but lower volume), and the adverts are just normal ie non HD.

mate it did when i had normal sky aswell tho its a pain in the arse aint it.... i just press mute everytime the ads come on now.

perhaps jump up was the wrong word but it definitely increases when the ads come on to the point where i have to mute cus i'm concious of next door (got a young baby)

my old mans well into his home cinema stuff and im sure his still does it, like bullet says maybe different voloume to get your attention !

as bullet says its a well known fact advert people pay to have the volume upped which can be very annoying if your just waching a programme

They can get away with it on old films a bit because they claim it's arse quality.

it seems these days ads are more frequent and longer as well.

That sky anytime is pretty good cus they cut the ads out

gits the bloody lot of them I must admit I would prefer it the other way round as sometime the programmes themselves seem quiet
