  • Exhaust Doubts!

Hi, I have doubts for the exhaust!

    Mongoose or Blue Flame?

And some experience without the central silencer??

    Thanks!

same company, blue flame make mongoose exhausts, remove the middle silencer if you want more noise. It sounds nice but will probably be loud on track.

No, they USED to, but haven't for a couple of years .

Mongoose's copy of the old 3 box magnex system is the one to go for imo.

I have a Blueflame exhaust on mine (It was on when I got it)
My last Escort had a Mongoose.
I can’t really say there is much difference, however I would probably go for a Blueflame again as they can do the removable silencer which dose sound louder and seems to make the car quicker - might be psychological.
Had my car measured at Oulton Park on my first visit & failed scrutineering / noise test 114db @ 5000rpm ! The limit is 105db
Put the silencer back on and it passed at 101 db

P.s Chris at Blueflame was very helpful and sorted the downpipe prop catching issue I had after the engine was done.

                          Ok Blue Flame

I doubt about if I will remove the central silencer...

                          Thanks!

Video of ALS & Blueflame no middle silencer

Here is the Video from inside my car filmed on my mates phone.
Its a Blueflame exhaust with middle silencer removed and the Anti-lag switched on.
It may give you an idea of how the exhaust sounds.
