Finally got a break in the weather today to do a bit of a work on the Escort, managed to replace a driveshaft which I think might be causing my vibration issues..

Went to start the car, and the fucking alarm (clifford) remote is fucked, seems the arm/disarm button has decided to stop working ... I am getting seriously close to giving up on this peice of shit

I only have one now as i recently put the other through the washing machine Nice and clean but no longer any use

Going to speak to KEITH when i think of it and see how you go about getting replacements

Jim, cos i opened the door to give the towing eye back that was left in the car that started the countdown off so i got down the road and it warned me it was gonna immobilise again so that must be when the lights start flashing I got the code in just in time to save it - bloody thing eh !! But i know how to shut it down into valet mode now so no more troubles when it's at yours in future

Have you tried replacing the battery in the remote, just a thought?

I think what we need is an Escos site lottery syndicate Then when we win, not if we win but when we win we can all get sorted in one hit SORTED lol

Maybe I've got the right idea. The best place for a Cossie to be to stop you having to spend money on it is sat on four spare wheels in the garage. I'm amusing myself with other little electrical projects at the moment so I'm keeping my mind off the £5k I want to spend on mine to get it how I want it.

You can put most clifford alarms in valet by remote without pressing the arm disarm button. I've had Cliffords on all my cars for 15 years without issues, maybe I've been lucky, but wouldn't have anything else.
