  • Sill repair

I need to get some repair/restoration done on my sill where it meets floor/inner sill
Im looking for it to be repaired without looking like its been repaired as such. Anyone know someone who can do it? Preferably in herts, beds, bucks area but am willing to travel further for a quality repair.

Am pretty sure you cant get a complete sill section for the esc cos , you would have to get a normal escort one and cut it about mate ,people have had sill work done and I have seen a pretty extensive resto somewhere ,either on here or pf might be worth a search ........Rashers

I have a pair of IMMACULATE sills for sale on my damaged shell. They could be cut off and welded into your car complete with a couple of inches of the floor pan; would be the best and easiest way to do the repair; it's what I did when I restored my 3 door.

Standard ford escort sills are perfect up untill where theyre welded onto the rear 1/4. I think the only difference is they havent got the holes for the side skirts to be bolted on.

Another option for you is Jacko at blue oval, i dont know where he is based tho sorry.

Im away to start stripping mine for the attack on the bad bits. Im needing two sills for mine as well as the bits that you've all seen (primarily the quarters). So is it MK5 sills i need to get? and how easily can i get them?
