hi, my name is rob and this is my first message wow!!!! just brought my first cossie really nice car and was the 3rd last cossie of the production line, loads of history with the car, and one owner from new!!! totally genuine and original, i love it, however it does require a little tlc on the bodywork and i mean a little i live in the midlands (derbyshire) and could do with some information on proper,genuine, good, restorers. who share a passion for this great car, please help!!!!! thanks rob.

Hi Rob, welcome to the site. Where abouts in Derbyshire are you from as I live in Derbyshire, Codnor Park, just outside Ripley. I can suggest a good spray company in Mansfield if you are interested, they did some work on my mk6 RS2000 and cant fault them for the price. Dont know if you are a member of the RSOC but you could always pop down to the Derbyshire RSOC meets at the Paddock pub if that interests you at all? Forget the Nottingham RSOC lot, there a bunch of bufty boys and will take an instant dislike to you if your car aint grandad standard lol.

Hi Rob, dont know those people, I tend to keep myself to myself and only lived there since 99. I live in one of Tom Griffiths built new houses, you are welcome to come and have a look at my RS2000 to see the paint job, its just sat on the drive doing nowt anyway. The place at Mansfield is called CCR car and commercial refinishers and there on Broadway ind est, right opposite the new police headquarters. If you want any more info just give me a shout mate.
