I have a hydraulic clutch from Martin using twin plates which are a bit of a pain (& noisy) to use.
I originally had organic & carbon metallic plates which were ok but have worn out quite quickly so changed the plates to carbon metallic & carbon metallic recently.
Although they should last longer it is impossible to just set off quickly as the biting point has to be kept under 1600 rpm to keep things smooth and the car is too easy to stall.
I was told the Alcon 6 paddle clutch I had originally was not up to the job but I am aware some people use these with high power cars?
What are the best options for fast road use & occasional track days?
