Hi guys, a while ago I was talking about how, when you fit an aftermarket dump valve (yes, I know) to the small turbo Escort Cossie you had to leave the old valve in place, minus spring, but replacing that with a metal ring to stop it activating, and I was saying how I didn't like the fact that the standard diaphragm had to stay in place.
I found out that Forge (probably amongst others) do a blanking plate which allows you to remove the original dump valve altogether. Just fitted it and I thought you might like to see a pic. I'm really pleased with it and it also gives you a litte bit more access round that side of the engine bay too. And of course there's now no chance of splitting diaphragms (my dump valve is a twin piston Bailey too).
Anyway, just thought I'd share this in case anyone else fancies doing the same thing.
