Firstly, hello all..
So im an ex Essex lad, worked as an apprentice ford tech 86-89, yes, the start of a great era ! Only did a few years then moved into another industry. had a great time at fords with the xr range and the escort,sierra cosworth range. I am now living in New Zealand, been here 3 years now. Ive decided to buy myself after all these years an escort cossie..
So im about to buy one and thought id ask you guys if parts are still available, that is not from ebay... I mean new parts.!


The car im looking at is a white 93 1 owner with 47k miles on the clock which has been imported from Japan... No rust!.. The only thing wrong is the front spoiler is missing due to something hitting it in the earthquakes!!!.. And the digital clock being faulty. Anyway, a tidy car with the odd little engine rattle, nothing a service wouldn't sort... Now i know 2nd to 3rd gear may be crunchy and the inlet manifold bolts sometimes shear off but is there anything else you guys know of ?

Welcome to the forum - good to see another user from overseas on here.

I think in general Ford don't stock many EsCos parts at all. A guy on here (username = cozzed) should be able to fix the digital clock for you as he did with mine. You'll also be able to buy a good quality replacement front spoiler (splitter & hockey stick) from the UK.
