Old And stronger then ever
I don't think they were ever a 'normal' car.
MK1 BDA OR RS2000 around 160hp per ton.
EsCos around 164hp per ton from the factory.
That on a set of crossplies of the day was always loose and fun.Cheers

AXA413N.jpg In 1974 I built a Mk1 Escort TC from a bare shell (actually a front half of one crashed mex and the rear half of another) - full custom pack road car, genuine 6" minilites. Enough brand new parts to have it registered as a new car, AXA 413 N - those were the days! Diamond white, black interior. Built in a shed with a £9 socket set, no electricity, and the only running water was what came through the holes in the roof. I miss it still.Last edited by biz; 22-01-2018, 11:05:14.Jim
