Yes the road version "motorsport" but a original rally car wont have that.

When we talk about "factory built" we mean built at the factory and sold through Ford dealers...rally cars do not enter into this... is it just me or are wires getting crossed on this thread

Yes thats why i tried to point out that its 2 very diffrent cars... But yes you Could get a grpa and wrc trough dealers, but sure not trough all i guess

yes thats correct, vinnumber was only stamped on cars made as "roadcars" the cars built original for motorsport didnt have same roadcar vinnumber.

909 is not vinnumber, its finis on shell spec. My grpa saph ( gse buildt new in 1990, from new original Ford motorsport shell and parts at boreham) have a vinnumber starting MS original stamped identical look as roadcar, and 909 number is only "engraved" by hand above vin. My "909" 3door have no stamp on vinnumber place, just left blank, that is a "private build/reshell rallycar.

Yes i feel the same just that everytime "motorsport" escos comes up... Allot think of racecars, and not the roadversion thats all i tried to say, that its 2 very diffrent cars (actually 3 diffrent cars)

• heater mirror and windscreen
• different speed for wash windscreen
• electric miror
• other color that diamant white

• seat adjust in higher
• storage in the center console between two seat
• audio
• open rear quater
• back head support
• rear central ar

cars without sunroof are not necessarily motorsport.
the ones that have the seats with the motorsport logo on it are not motorsport but limited series Martini or Biason or Monte

Get me the chassis number & I'll tell you if its a Motorsport or std
