  • anyone gone from sierra 3dr to escos??

Think your in the wrong place to ask that Jim but my opinion would be if it was both standard cars standard power id prefer the drive of a 3 door. Mildly Modified stage 3 etc escos all day long for me but its just what i prefer. Big BHP cars cant say from my own experience. If I was offered a 3 door of similar style to my escos I wouldnt be interested, the escos has more presence but the 3 door has more retroness. Suppose all depends what you want from both cars and which you have the biggest soft spot for.
The only think to do mate is have both

I went from a 2WD Sapphire to an Escort and regretted it (at the time) probably because the Sierra was modded with reasonable HP and the Escort was completely standard. I wouldn't change back though.

i wouldn't have expected any other answer from you pat, and having them all its a good guide.escos as you say probably wins on presence with a 2wd driving slightly better.you know its a itch that will have to be scratched but the escos would have to be heavily modified ,motorsport edition if possible lol

dave i always preffered the 2wd saff of them all for driving myself ,but the escos looks best of them all

i will sell on the 3dr after its had a small resto, and will then be in the market for one .earliest possible reg escos due to import duty

I went from a slightly modified 4wd Sapphire to my first Escort Cosworth which was bog standard - as I always preferred smaller cars, I liked the change, didn't regret it, and wouldn't go back.

I could never see you been happy with an escos in standard or stage 3 tune James. As you say a heavily modified motorsport would be ideal its just finding one with proper ID on a K plate. They pop up from time to time just a matter of keeping the ear to the ground. You really need to go see a doctor about those itches you have

Lucky enough to own a 3 door Sierra Cosworth and a escort cosworth , both cars get so much attention the Sierra more, but the escort is so much better in every way to drive.
