Magnex exhaust

What’s people opinions of custom made exhausts, not h and s ones but Iv bee looking at a company more local to me. Someone’s warned me away from one saying all thecustom made ones they’ve seen were struggling to get the back pressure right and they sounded awful but the fit was fantastic.

if you go to one of the proper places then yes but it would prob cost a grand or more,those budget places that do one while you wait with bits off the shelf id steer clear of

BCS do custom made exhausts, i believe the owner used to do work for Blue Flame, supposed to be very good.

If bcs done off the shelf for the escort id have one.had one fitted to my mk1 focus rs and it was flawless.fitted like a glove.

i had a bcs system on my mk2 focus rs, was very well made but i didnt like the tail pipes

VADreamer, thanks for the link. Are you welding it into your system or clamping it? it doesnt say if the cat is stainless steel.

I plan to slip fit the joints, but I won't know for sure until I have it in hand. The catalyst matrix is stainless - I had even considered that the body might be mild steel.

I would be interested too, second dibs. When you say larger tailpipe does that mean does not fit the rear bumper cut out or melt the rear bumper?

no the original magnex (my car has one) has a larger tailpipe that clamps on but still clears the bumper and looks great , the later one used a smaller tialpipe that looks a bit naf

yep the smaller one isnt much bigger than the orig size, bigger is better lol im actually using the bigger version on my blueflame which ive adapted to fit

Nick make sure you put it the right way round lol I've seen far too many escorts over the years with the magnex tip upside down, was my pet hate lol

yes me too,im the same as you and see them at every show fitted upside down,i dont know why as its not particualarly hard to tell the correct way lol
