Valvoline works yes, abit more "mechanic" noice from engine when use IT, but not a problem.

Mechanical noise doesn't sound good. Tell me more mate. This seems like a real minefield.

Graham Goode are showing the Mobil 1 10/60 against the Escort Cosworth as a replacement for the old 15/50. Is this too thick?

Titan 10w-50, you cannt go wrong with Motul but only small packages in that gradation.
You can really see the difference between titan and others, i flush my engines with cheap total 10-50 and it looks totally different compared to titan.

The valvoline oil works, but for some reason the engine sounds different, not easy to explain the sound, but noticed by a few and me included... I have 1 4x4 running the valvoline racing and IT just sound different in a way over my others...

I was told the 10/60 was too thick for the Escort Cosworth today by Opie Oils on E-BAY, it was what I was going to get.

Before rebuild i was using Titan pro race than i was recommended to use Mobil,..used car on track,daily.. ..it is running well yet cant see the difference compared with Titan pro race,,maybe few degrees less temp while driving hard

I've always used Mobil 1 0w40, and found it great, though it's changed every 300 to 500 miles, as is the filter.

good choice 10/50 pro s loads of the old crowd on here will use it ,, there used to be a guy on here selling it at a good price aswell

I use Mobil 5W50 as original spec say, but I had the HTT. Works fine on my cars.

I have used TOTAL, LIQUI MOLI, RED LINE all 10W/60.
Finally, I ended with MOTUL 15W/50 V300. Best oil by far...
The engine sounds smoother & have higher oil pressure. Also, we have a racing Escort WRC using this oil & opening the engine for rebuild it was like new!
I totally recommend it!
