I know it wasn't a "Brooklyn car" but Brooklyn did have both cars for sale at the end of 1995, I drove the prototype and a friend of mine brought number 76 with the jewel violet leather interior (not like the A8 above - more like normal leather interior but in jewel violet/purple), he was told that it came from the prototype and was unique. I'll try and see if he's has any pics.sigpic

Thats interesting Andy but Brooklyn supplied jewel violet monte 092 had the same leather as well and a previous owner of 076 told a story of them Brookyn special orders for Brooklyn managers at the time. There can't have been two interiors from one car?
So we now need to speak to Brooklyn as well

L820 KPU history
Hi All,
I know this thread is quite old but I've only just seen it so I thought I would share what I know. L820 KPU was built as a one off by Ford Motorsport for their then Managing Director. He sent the interior to Italy to have bespoke purple leather trim made. He also had certain parts added from Ford's sister company, Aston Martin. These included door trim plates, wood interior trim and OZ two piece alloys. The car had 300bhp from the factory, the large wing deleted and the oval front grille. He sold the car when it was about a year old to JCT600 Porsche in Newcastle. My cousin bought the car from JCT600 in 1994.
A year or so later my cousin bought a Monte and swapped all the unique parts (seats, Aston trim, wheels etc) with those from the Monte. L820 KPU was never anything to do with the Montes, it just has Monte seats and wheels for this reason.
I hope this is of interest. I will try and find some photos and video footage of L820 KPU in 1994 with the original purple leather.

L820 KPU pictures in 1995
I'll try and find some of the interior if I can. These show the bonnet and wheels which were fitted from new.
