In Europe they almost don't sell at all

Doesn't matter if it's an Escort or Sierra

            Good point...

I'm also thinking of selling mine, but I know it's very hard to replace a good EsCos if you ever want one again (probably you will....)

It was my dream car . But i cant see me using her much . Looks like i will be missing most of the shows this year coz of the racing . Missed national day . will miss ford fair . She is just sat in the garage . wanna use her neil ?
Business morgarge will only give 70% . Which means i will need to find 25k . Want to sort my own premises in the next 18 months really before i have to renew my rent contract . The cossie would get me on the road for a deposit

no other way of raising the funds?

i keep getting very nice offers like that brian.very very kind but i would feel awful if something happened while in my hands

Brian, its a difficult one really. Only you can decide if you need to sell it. I must admit your reason's are very good and to be honest you need to think of the future for you and the family, and if that means you need to sell the car to secure a better future then it has to be worth it, but like others have said coming to replace it may take some time, but as we all know there are lots of very nice ones out there and its just a matter of waiting for the right one to come up again

If this was WHITE i'd be right there but it looks a good one you should'nt have any problem selling if you decide good luck!

Im in the same boat mate. Wanna sell the Escort to move forward in life, business, etc, but know I will regret it and never find one the same Stick yours up @ £15k and if it don't sell you know its priced too high and reduce accordingly. Just be honest with the description and everyone will be happy

cheers people . Really appriciate your feedback .
I have my own workshop wich is going really well . In my 5th year now . I just want my own unit to give me a little retirement fund . I will deffo have to buy another escos later on , but cant see no other way of getting hold of a big chunk of a deposit without selling her . Considering she just sits in the garage at home doing nothing .
Offer is there if you want to use it neil for some shows . I doubt i will be at any this year . The weekends i am not racing i try to stay home with the wife & kidz . They dont like car shows , so couldnt even make a show on my own without feeling guilty

If you have 18 months to sort out a deposit then you don't need to rush into a sale, put the car up for a bit more than you think it's worth and give it 6 monthsif it sells at that your laughing, but If you have no takers drop it down a bit and try again.
