Do you run any kind of gate/ baffle in your 4x4 big wing sump?

I have a 4x4 big wing sump as most people do but unlike alot
of 2wd sumps no one seems to run a gated baffle is there no need on the 4x4 sump?

There is only about 5 small 10mm holes drilled in the sump wall to connect it into the new big winged section, so this will act as a baffle obviously so do people just leave it at that?

ps - if anyone runs a 7.5" front grp a 4x4 diff and sump I have a brand new gated sump baffle to suit that set up as I did not realise it didn't fit a standard sump set up

i ran a baffle in with my big wing sump.

it was hard to get the sump on as it was very tight around the pick up pipe,it really kept the pick up pipe full of oil.

it was in it when i bought the sump.

it is similar to the mountune one iirc, plenty of gates in it.

if you do a search on passionford Mark, there are threads on there.

Fit a proper gatted baffle setup, they dont cost much so you may aswell do it.

Lol well that's how I got it so need to see someone elses to see how there's has been done

Worried about drilling it out More as the swarf will be hard to get out now the big wing is welded up!

the holes is not the problem, get the gated part in the sump,you will be better with it in.
