I passed my test in 92 and had a 1.1 fiesta with full xr2 kit on and when the cossie was released I went to evans halshaw in preston and sat in a mallard one. I said one day I will have one, I drove up to kielder forest at 3am for the rac rally to watch Malcolm Wilson in the Michelin pilot. Then went to the motorshow the year later and sat in the monte that was being released. Got mine 21/2 years ago now.

Can't remember when I first saw one, I do remember a friend of my dads having a very early Imperial Blue BT, so that was probably the first one I saw.

i worked for a ford rs dealership in the north east {neshams} , and i pre delivery checked and road tested all the rs models pior to collection , when the escos was launched we had a open evening in the showroom for all the local rs owners and local business men , on display was rs200 i think it was rennisons , a works escos rally car , and 2 escos roadcar , we also had russ swift in a fiesta with a welded diff doing his usual stunts , wish id took some pics , but back then i didnt think id be on the web talking about it

as soon as i saw the malcolm wilson, michelin pilot escos i fell in love with them and always swore to myself that i would have 1, so when i was 20 i completed my mechanical engineering apprenticeship and decided to treat myself to my first escort cosworth but i couldnt get it insured until i was 21 so it had to sit in my garage for 6 months lol. I'll never forget the feeling the first time i drove it.
