putting the wheels on gaz - must be nearly done now eh?? - all i've got to do is change timing belt and put the front bumper on now mate!! ...... but none of that helps you with your issue, i'd be trimming the calipers i reckon and repainting so you cant tell
    one for the road?? ......

what calipers Gaz, as ive not known them catch on these wheels in the past with that size kit.

if they are the CP5555's then you should have plenty of clearance, are you sure its not just catching on the wheel weights?
failing that, i assume your using the CP7040 calipers which are a much chunkier and heavier unit.

Is it not possible to shave a few mm off the gold mountings Gaz?

Just so the caliper sits that tiny bit closer ito the hub

You need the smaller and more expensive cp5555 caliper if you don't want to get the grinder out

as said above, the CP7040's are a fair bit bigger, the CP5555's will fit with ease inside those wheels.

Do not start shaving the caliper mounts to try and pull the caliper inwards as the disc will then snag within the caliper.

downside of the CP5555 calipers is they are quite considerably more expensive, but they are lighter, have stronger bracing and are much more slimline.
a big plus side is they utilise a much bigger brake pad so you get a better pad to disc contact area, but then the pads become more expensive aswell.

a brake kit of your size with the CP5555 calipers can be almost £700 more expensive than the same kit with the CP7040 calipers that you are running!

its the daddy 5555's that im running on my focus, and believe me when i say they bite extremely well with the DS3000 pads, possibly to much so for the weight of the car
