  • whos done big turbo conversion on st?

possibly in the winter i fancy changing the st to big turbo spec

i want to use l8 not interested in any other ecus

so what do i need so far the list i can think of is

    injectors
    map sensor
    turbo
manifold? duno if these are the same as st
    throttle body
    intercooler
going coilpack so i can keep the std phase sensor
    bottom pulley

but what engine loom, tbh im looking into a sierra one as its only 6 wires to wire up as i want to keep the std loom in place just add a plug into it, as iwill revert the car back to std when the time comes to sell but that could be a while lol

am i rite in thinking all my gauges will work the same even my clocks if i go coil pack? i know i will have to change a few plug connections due to where sensors are in different places on the st but thats not a problem

is it a simple conversion aswell as id imagine its just making the engine loom look neat in the day which is the hardest part

You can use a 2wd one we only had a saph 4x4 one so he cut it & welded it at a angle it worked a treat & it would have had us beaten if we didnt ! obviously i had most of the stuff ready for the swap over .

why change the fuel rail!? no need? just ecu, pulley, loom, turbo, BT manifold as the ST has a smaller opening, map sensor thats about it on the cheap!?

The ST turbo/manifold flange can be opened out so no need to swop
