tyers sizes

i have old style mos on my car wich are 8 x 18 and et 15 and curently on toyo t1s 225/35/18s
wanting to order sum new tyers can i get 235 wide or best stick with 225?
also the ones i want arent avaielabel in 35 profile just 40.
so is it best to get 225/40/18. . . . or 235/40/18?
its toyo r888s wot im going for just havnt a clue bout sizes. HELP.

A 225 wide 888 will be wider than a normal 225 tire more than likely as wide as a 235.

Up to you really, you can go up to 245/35-18 but they do look a bit too wide on the rim IMO. I think 225/40-18 is a good size, looks good on a 8" wide wheel, easily available size often meanining lower prices too IMO the 235/40-18 tend to look a bit too big.

if it was me and i was goin for that make of tyres i would go for a 225 40 18

A 225/40 R888 measures up to 232mm anyway, so it's as near as damn a 235 anyway.
I personally would go for that size.
