Who can live map a P8?

This is great news, ill give turbosystems a bell as they are fairly close. I was going to go the L8 route but now i probably dont need to.

If the P8 has a Pectel board, no-one can "live" map it..... You have to keep burning chips until you get it right. On all the other Webber ECUs, you can plug in an emulator and properly live map it, but no-one has a dongle for P8 with a Pectel board. If it doesn't have one of these, then Stu at MSD live can live map the standard ECU.

I map any of the Weber or Pectel ECU's for future reference. I do offer work on other management systems too not just Ford either.

Ahmed Bayjoo and Paul Hills work directly from my workshop if you require specialist ECU work or tuning, or even checking of my map if you need more confidence in my ability
I will try to be on the safer side of tuning and throttle response, than making max power on customers engines. Hence when running big power YB's i get them checked over again just to be on the safe side. This is good for the customer as it has 2 trained eyes check over the maps. .

No ecu can be tuned off the engine, the best matched chip would be by listing all your mods and as much you know about the engine and internals etc. Then using a chip from the closest matched engine with the same mods and components etc. This would give you a fairly good chip but would still need adjusting to get the optimum from your engine.

Some.. will do the above, then make a few adjustments and charge you for a full map. or worse.. not do the adjustments and charge for a map anyway.

I think I would like to see that done and checked on someone else's engine , as I remember Harvey and Ahmed telling me that the encryption board can make you "think" you are mapping it correctly, and then put random code in key places, which corrupts the information, and you not be aware that it is doing it .

The program i used for my engine worked fine, Ahmed hasn't used the P8 version as far as i know.
My engines are the test bench for any development i do, if it pops then so be it. Its done very well for the last 12 years with the abuse i have given it being a std engine.
