I have Bailey dual piston recirculating on mine - I don't like hearing my car sneeze .

Do you have the hose crossing back over into the filter to turbo hose mike? Quite like the idea and look off that

Iain I have the hose and fitting for going across the front of the bay if you want it, I just didn't want to cut into the 4" inlet hose.

I've got a Bailey twin piston on mine, although I am small turbo.

Do you have any running problems running the DV ive heard that it feels like the car is going to cut out and then comes back in again.

Whats your take on it all ?

It's not wastegate chatter mate, it's turbo stall, not healthy for a turbo.

Wouldn't matter wether its a -34 or -31 that's just controls how/when it comes on boost,

As Justin said its the air passing back over the turbine blades cutting the air that makes the chirp noise.

But I agree i run no dump valve at all with a big k+n as I love the sound

My standard turbo is still alive, I removed the DV when I bought the car 7 years ago...

I didn't say it would break the turbo, Jyst explained what the noise was.

Yes, I have to say mine is just the same as yours mate, basically at idle when you hit the throttle and let it off the revs seem to dip too low then come back up again. I guess the Small Turbo isn't really built for an 'open to air' dump valve, it should dump back into the system and that's probably what the management is looking for. I did think about taking mine off and might at some point, but I just like it myself. I think in theory the twin piston valve is supposed to solve these problems but it doesn't really. My other small turbo was exactly the same.
                          Cheers

My old ST seemed fine with the dump valve but as soon as I put a cone filter on it had that problem even cut out twice. Put the air ox back on and it was fine?

Mine was doing it before I put the cone filter on. Odd.
