At the end of the day anyone who knows about fords and rally/racing will always know what an escos is and if they don't then they soon will with a bit if research... I was born in 81 and love mk1 escorts that are 13 years older, so if the first escos was in 92 that would make someone born in 2005 8 years old... Plenty if life left in the escos yet... Especially when mine is finaly 1000kg 800hp whooping all the exotic late cars round track

If you're properly interested in cars, regardless of age you should know about them. The same can be said for E30 M3's, Lancia Integrales, MK2 Escorts etc.
There aren't many people that I know who are my age (25) and understand what a Cosworth is, and the history behind one. I work with a lot of older guys from Essex, and they won't stop hounding me to bring it into work.

Postman delivered a package this morning, he couldn't have been more than 20 years old. I was busy sorting my bumper grill and he pointed and asked what engine that is despite it written clearly on the cam cover. Seems that literacy skills is also lost on the youthsigpic

With the 911 I never had the need to justify what it was, but already Ive felt the need to explain its one of 2500 homologation specials ,very rare is actually built from the marriage of 2 cars and actually isn't a shonky 1.6 Escort

If they don't know what it is then they're best left in ignorance, the second you have to start explaining it's origins you just sound like a sad boring anorak with no life
