Interesting, but speak to Mark or Jimbo less than16.5K will get you 600/700 bhp and much less lag with parts easier to get hold of if things go wrong.
I wouldn't take the chance tbh. It has all the correct provenance and its a "Race" engine but why would you T66 Turbo over £30K spent on it
Not sure thats best suited for a road car Talk about Turbo lag, it might come on boost half way down Brunters
I'm taking the piss a little but for a road car there better , cheaper with less "Risk" Ok its never been run.......but just what is the storage/handling history of the engine a lot of questions for so much money.

its a race engine, i dont think 16k will even get you a scs 700bhp engine as are they not 20k engine plus thats a road engine, the engine is priced right tbh seen as its new, an hasnt scs rebuilt it?
Russell sold the engine to Callum Charlie's mate Callum has - mk1 focus cosworth , Charlie's old one Callum works on the rigs and was going to fit it to his focus sadly his younger brother passed away and has not been working its only for sale until he goes back to work.
Frank it'sbeen dynod ready to race / use Russell didn't use it as he had nothing to put it in without spending major money on , I mean everything this needs around it to be good costs money if you have a proper sorted car then this lump is for you , Callum has everything to fit ot just family matters mean it's in the back burner at the moment
Go to scs or any other tuner and ask them to build this exact engine for you frank and see what you get told
If you read the post I made it was merely a more quiz question than a fact question.
But seeing you asked
SCS engine
Nikasil line-rd, rods, cp pistons bd16+ cam , head done, 8 inj , plenum inlet, Pectel, EFR7670 bla bla bla all the piss and shit Jimbo can do to it is about 15k. probably 650 bhp ota. Change spec of cams and bigger twin scroll poss 700 bhp.
Estimated cost 15k
So as i said, unknown engine so called worth 30K+ ( as said a well known engine with Provence) or an SCS or Mad engine I know what I would go for. 15K will get you in then ball park of 650/700 bhp
My reply was to ask is it worth it for a road car with a turbo off a merlin fighter
All IMHO
It's not a unknown engine tho Andrew paid £35 k off Julian Godfrey for it and I witnessed this in the scs dyno not making the claimed power so it was stripped Andrew,s original 800 bhp engine ended up finished before it and this was surplus to requirements it lay about for a while and then was built and mapped , sent to Russell it's done nothing due to no fault of the engine or scs , this is Callum's dream engine , type Callum Baird into you tube you will see how he uses his focus he is absolutely gutted that he has to let it go but losing a family member means nothing else is important at this moment in time ! Plus he hasn't been working , if you think you could buy this new for 17 k new your tripping
Frank, I havnt sent you over the price yet bud (I'm on with it!) you may be surprised!
The head alone on that is around 5k worth, It has big valves with big seats. Solid lifters etc. the inlet is more expensive than yours and so is the exhaust side.
The turbo is old hat. But on a race car where lag isn't an issue I'd put that against any for reliability. They're a super reliable turbo
The bottom end is in an arrow crankshaft which is 2k nearly and that's really where the difference lye.
I would think for that engine outright new you'd be looking around the 23k mark.
To clear up a little confusion. It was a Julian Godfrey engine that Andrew build and after testing on the dyno it was over 100bhp down on the claimed figure. Andrew unhappy with this waited for his 800bhp one to be done and this got stripped and inspected. Upon this things needed changing so it had new liners, cams etc etc to bring it up to a over 700bhp spec and that's what it made on the dyno.
