    Yeah the pdf file too - see my signature below. We're well past half with 117 commitments, great, we will make it!

    In terms of timing: the factory is on holiday end of next week (22nd) and their are crazy busy in this last week.

    So what I agreed is with them (provided we get to 200 wheel orders) is that my down-payment for the low-pressure casting mold and the first samples is on their bank account when they return from holiday (Feb 15th), so they can start right away.

    All-in-all a logical ultimate deadline for the down payments is February 7th

    In other words - we have another 3 weeks for down payments.

    The rest of the timeline is then approximately:
    • 6 weeks to make the mold and first samples: end of march
    • 1 week my wife to check and improve in china and send samples to Ben, John and myself
    • 2 weeks to have Ben, John, myself check the samples and do destructive tests
    • 1 week for the chinese to improve on feedback: end of april
    • 4 weeks to produce all 200+ wheels: end of may
    • 6 weeks to ship to UK and NL: half July
    • 2 weeks of customs: end of July
    • 2 days shipment within UK/NL: early August

      • I don't get it.

        Do we need 200 set / 800 rims?

        73 customers has order 82 set and 29 spare rims = 339 rims totally

              • If i understand the list right, it says:

                45 customers has order 4 rims each = 180
                23 customers has order 5 rims each = 115
                3 customers has order 8 rims each = 24
                2 customers has order 10 rims each = 20

                73 custumers has order 82 set and 29 spare rims = 339

                  Hi Holmen, now I understand where you're coming from and you're right- from the initial interest that people showed, a total of 339 wheels could be ordered, which would be a definitive GO for the project of course.

                  But here it is: We want some more commitment than just saying "you want a set", since I'm about to ship more than 50.000 dollar of my own hard earned money to a Chinese wheel manufacturer.

                  So I want to have some assurance that people are actually going to buy the wheels, before I get stuck with 196 spare wheels for my own car, in other words a container full of useless aluminum and never see my 50K back

                  So all that counts now are the down payments - and there we have a total of 25 sets and 117 wheels, so we're waiting for the remaining 83 down payed wheels to come in (and I'm sure they will) (SEE COLUMN F 'PAID' IN EXCEL)

                  • Now I understand.
                    Blue = paid.
                    White = waiting for payment
                    Me =

                          • Random one that I've been meaning to ask.

                            What wheel nuts are we going to need? I figured standard size and thread, but collared or un collared? I need to get a new set and want to buy the right ones! At the moment i seem to have 16 un collared and 4 collared! The un collared seem to work best in my comps as I belive they have a collar pressed in the wheel?
