  • Borgwarner turbo, experience?

Any experience with the new EFR series?
Thinking on buying the EFR7064 but have nothing to compare it to?

Apparently once you had one there's no going back difference is night and day every one says and full boost at 3500rpm making 500bhp and torque to match sounds like a no brainer
I want one,but I do need a few things too,
you need a few other bits to make the most of it
      Turbo
      Manifold
      Aftermarket ecu management
      And Mr shead
      Lol,.....oh and money 4-6k

A 7064 I believe is upto 500hp very responsive! Mark I'm sure will reply but he said to me if I'm correct it comes on like a bastard and goes like he'll, great for a road car..

Ive allready build the car for 700+ bhp but down specced the cams and inletmanifold cause i wanted a road'ish car not pure race.
But sounds like an 7064 is the way to go
Just need to check if it fits on a 2wd manifold

What exhaust housing option did you go for,
The T4 flange version will not fit in a 2wd manifold as the housing is to tall, I have not tried the T3 version but I would expect it to be the same and not fit.

Use a nice twin scroll manifold to get the full gains.

Genuinely the twin scroll setup is worth the extra cost...

Do you have to go for the aftermarket engine management with this setup, or can the standard one be mapped?

Can't see any reason why one can't be mapped on P8 or any other kind of mappable ecu really !
