  • Suspension Set Up

Going to be looking at purchasing some new suspension parts, the car currently is sitting on the same springs and dampers that were fitted in the factory in 1992. The car is used and will be used for road only, its sat on 17s super T's', but i have just had the original alloys refurbished which i will stick on once the refurb is done, I would probably want the car to sit a little bit lower than stock, what are you guys using/would recommend, any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks Darren

    Koni Struts and Ahmed Springs.

Some prefer the look of Cobra Springs, but the Ahmed's are suppose to handle better.

    An example of them fitted..

Even on the road I wouldn't bother having a Cossie without a full 6 degree adjustable rear beam now. Coupled with a decent set of coilovers, you can have a really capable car.

Theyre lighter, adjustable height, adjustable damping, can use wider Tyres also, and a good set will ride and handle brilliantly, as already said, coupled with an adj rear beam you'd be surprised just how good an old cossie can still be.

I would like to know who runs what and try and come to a decision, but i don't really know the pro's & cons.

its a modified rear beam and rear arms that moves the pick up points to a better angle and makes then adjustable
