coilovers is not superior over a proper damper/spring setup... they both work the same way, "only" diffrence is where the spring is located in the rear, and hight is not adjustable... as said the rear turret flex allot when use coilovers without rollcage, so its no good in my eys... and proper coilovers that actually is realy good cost allot...
bilsteins With good springs is what I whant on my road cossies any day over coilovers...

If you want to make the most of the car, then start with an mk or SCS beam and adapt from there. Trust in that addition first, it'll make the car.sigpic

Koni/Ahmed's are for me best compromise in my opinion for road car ...................
Coilovers just don't do a road car any justice Komi/Ahmed's 6 degree beam you won't be disappoint however I don't look at ride height as any vital look would rather a car that's practicle than low for no other reason than it looks better
Ahmed specifically designed the rate and height to match konis how would anyone know more than him about it he's a legend of engineering my car handles perfect at low speed bumpy roads or hi speed I have total confidence in that set up I can't see how anyone takes this set up on a road car to the limits where coilovers would be necessary to fit or spend big ££££ for what gain just my opinion for you to think about.
I have gaz gold on my 3dr and there ok won't be changing them but don't compare to koni Ahmed's on escos

Its really funny and i knew it would happen when you ask that kind of question you will always get a load of different opinions, which is good so you make a choice and pay your money, think i will need to do some more research, the rear beam mod looks good but expensive, as for wheel choice I've located a set of 18" monte replica's, Just like the one On stu's & Dan Le Moignan cars think they look the dogs, so will be placing an order for them tomorrow.

The Koni's work well but getting the sweat spot in ride height is harder,
Most coilover ride quality is poor, I have BAD make kits for me will a resprung and changed valving over the kits they sell as I much prefer a softer riding car and you can get away with this esp with a rear beam,
Most coil overs are very still to stop ride height changes that with a stock rear beam make the car terrible.

agree on this... 6deegree is a very good Upgrade. but still on a cossie without full rollcage to keep rear turrets in Place, I dont like coilovers... but yes everybody do what they want and like. also the wolf cossies over here had bilstein dampers and eibach springs, and no coilover at rear have ever been approved by any goverment(like tuv or dekra) in EU since the rear turrets is not designed or strong enough to keep the load/stress from both damper and spring...
