  • Twin scroll manifold with 7064 and alternator issue

Hi Gents, for those of you with twin scroll manifolds and an EFR, what have you done about the alternaor?

it's very close and possibly will fowl on the manifold once it's belted up and tensioned.

            Andy,

Yes Anembo do a bracket that no cutting is needed, i'll be ordering one, where did you get your alt?

A drop bracket isn't enough, I had to mill the mounting holes on the cast alternator bracket also even then it's very tight. Best thing is to change over to the later type belt as u can pull the alternator away from manifold then.

Any pics of the other setup, will that need the serpentine belt? was there not a cosworth that run the alt under the inlet manifold? poss 3dr

what i meant was this engine looks like a 2wd engine with the old belt set up, the later set up as fitted to all escorts with the different tensioner allows the alternator to be pulled down away from the manifold with a small bracket to hold it there. the other alternative is a group a set up but these are very hard to come by.
