All depends what you want it to do. If its just a simple fuel/ign/boost then you don't need anything fancy. If you need 50x inputs, 20x outputs, multiple user tables, multiple configuration, etc etc etc then these will determine what you buy.
Oh then there is price. More than happy with my sub £1k ecu running all the above,

What you run on then? Offcourse its many that works, but honestly, if use allitle bit more and get the "best" now, it Will not AS quickly stop me later on, if building futher. And whant a ECU wich is 100% stable no matter condition. The garage Will be variating in temp

Simtek. For the money vs features fitted and mapped nothing comes close.
Running features on the WRC that few people would run on a road car but still less money than anything else.
I had a specific set of requirements 10yrs ago and had a different ecu that quickly ran out of inputs and outputs.
I would say though the software requires you to understand calibration and engine control unlike most other ecu UI this is seen as a negative. I have no problem with it.

I've yet to find something it can't do that I need.

And would prefer to be able to keep original 4 lug trigger crankwheel, since balanced with IT...

I was looking at having it done by ag motorsport with it being mapped by Fraser Vincent who is the creator of simtek. Was roughly quoted £2.5k supplied fitted and mapped with new loom, coil on plug new map sensor ect and have drive by wire throttle and some safety sensors added in

Yeah he mentioned that, there was quite a few projects in the garage at the time getting simtek ecu’s, be good advertisement if the focus and escort where running that ecu as I think they are two of the most powerful yb’s in the country

Does everything I needed for COP cossie conversion, plus loads more for future use like LC, ALS, TC, E-throttle, multiple maps for different fuels etc etc
