Ford Sound 2000 & 2008 Cassette & CD Player

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how much a fully working Ford Sound 2008 cassette deck, CD player (see pic below), amp and all wiring harnesses would be worth?

Are those Escos or Saph ones?

As far as I know they came in Saphs and early EsCos. The later EsCos then came with Ford Sound 2007 and a CD 2040. Or are you saying there are two types of Ford 2008's (one for Saph and one for EsCos)?

I’ve never seen those in Escos and i am looking for some for my Saph. I am interested but would like to know the price.

it would be interesting to see anyone who has owned their car from new that has a 2008 fitted,the 2007 was always the standard and in my 94 brochure the only stereo option was the addition of the 2040 cd player,ive never owned an es cos with a 2008 or 2028 fitted and have had them from 1993 models onwards so have often wondered if they were fitted to real early models to use them up from the granadas or what ever had them fitted at the time.does anyone have an early brochure actually showing these as options? it would be good to finally confirm it all in print

so there were obviously some errors in the brochure so if im reading that right it says it doesnt have the 2008 ? or was it still an option? shame about the electric rear windows

Me! But it's the later type, with the 2040CD. There's also Sean's car (has he sold it now?) which had the early 2008 type with the 2028CD.

The prices vary a lot on the early 2008 and 2028 combination. Sean needed a 2008 and had to pay silly money for it, because the 2008 (especially the early one) is fairly rare, but I've seen them go for £40 or so (just for a working early 2008).

As far as I know they were fitted to Sapphires as well as Escos, and I don't think there's any diffrerences.
