ther is m3 and audi soft tops in my estate and just a normal evryday car to me these, dont even get a glance from me they just fit in with the corsas and focuses etc theyre like arseholes. . .evrybody has one!!!! were as escort cosworth is a mans car!!!!! and a good one will wipe the floor in all areas with the others mentioned especially if its white

I have NEVER EVER pulled into a petrol station without people coming over to me and asking about the car and Ive Never had anyone ask what is it ?, as no matter what age group they are they all say.... 'ESCORT COSWORTH !!!'.


I have even had cars pull in off the road, drive onto the forecourt do a loop around there and pull back out and carry on their way

Then you get the fathers who fetch their young boys over to you and say 'can he have a look' and your stuck then for about 10 mins. Not that I care as if the truth be known I would stay there all day talking to them



NONE of the above woul happen with an M3.

And for that to happen with an A4 cab, there would have to be a bird in there with her tits out.

I can drive my all day, every day for a year or so and not pass another one, I know of six here in WA. thats all. The last time i saw more than one at the same time was back in 2007 at an all ford show there was 4 of the six inc mine at that show. Many times i am driving along in it and other cars pass me and put the thumbs up to me, a guy in a top of the range merc convertible one day pulled up next to me at the local shops and commented on my he said what a cool car mine was.

i don't do sustained high speeds as that kills these engines,thats whty all the rally videos anyone has ever seen of mine will not see sustained high speeds.
they are not designed for racing m3's at 250 kmh etc but around lanes and roundabouts etc you got no chance in a m3 and your wasting your time if its wet or damp seriously.

Hard comparing a M3 to a Escort. As a standard car the M3 is a better car.

But, like all of the above, the Cossie has so much presence, that crazy bodywork, the COSWORTH engine, the sound, the pedigree!

Its a marmite car! you love it or hate it.

Tuning is what has made the Cosworth what it is, when pulling up along side one on the road or track.. you just dont know whats under the bonnet! Where as a M3, you are 99% sure you know if you can or cant beat it.

The Cosworth is not about that, your not going to pull girls in a Escort! You will have blokes hanging off your leg tho trying to dry hump it!

Compare the Cosworth to the Evo, or tell your mates that. Then, they will say something along the lines of "every c u next tuesday has them" and how much better the Evo is... its going to be, its newer! If they dont understand that, then your wasteing your time explaining it to them.

Just sit back and relax while your Escort sits in the garage getting more and more expensive while there shit box jap crap motors all end up on the scrap heap

Today i went to get the tracking done on my and had about ten people round it asking questions whilst there was a 911 there that no one payed any attention too. I think that sums it up, the Escort Cosworth is special and with a bit of tunnig will see off m3`s and A4`s with out any problems.

imo i think when your out in an escos you know people are starying saying "look theres a cossie"i know i do when i see any cossiewhen a m3 goes past i just think ok its nice but its not as nice as an escos and the simply reason is ther LOADS of m3's going about when it comes to escos's there not and you just know the m3 would be standard like basicly all them that are out therei had mine on the trailor taken it back from the paint shop i stopped at my work to quickly polish it (while on the back of the trailor)and had people stoping there cars and taking pics and people coming up and speaking to me about it and even one person saying he had one years ago and came round the corner and had to come over and see it and was complomenting the car aLOTand was asking if i would sell him it..........................that just doesnt happen in like m3's,evo's etc etcand name one of them cars that has as much pedigree as a cossie.................none!!!they were a car before ther time and will ALWAY be a desired car not like e36 m3's,evo 4's none one gives a flying fk about them now ok the evo 5 and 6 are nice but the 7,8,9 all look the same and look boring and the only m3 that is cool is the e30 but look at the price of a decent one of them now there even more exspensive than say a 53 plate e46

really, sustained high speeds is a particular favourite of mine! which given my self employed profession is pretty stupid! take saturday for instance on the way back home from reylands, i managed to get into a wrangle with an audi rs4, but thats one disadvantage of the cosworth, people do like to try and beat it - as if its a big achievement just for the record, the audi didnt pass me, i'm sure he could have if he was feeling extra brave

This has always been my dream car.
I almost bought one last year but ended up buying the new Focus RS which I love.

I still want a Esc though and despite people who have had both saying dont bother I am not listening and will hopefully own one soon. I could look at my Focus all day but the engine bay leaves me cold.

The cossie also looks superb and the engine bay just makes me feel sick with excitement even just thinking about it.

My mates dont get them but f... em cos I do and that is all that matters.
